He holds the degrees B.Sc. Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering & MPhil Degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and is also a Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka. As the Managing Director , Shiromal Fernando currently leads Civil & Structural Engineering Consultants Private Ltd. Shiromal Fernando is the current Chairman of CTBUH Sri Lanka and the Vice President of the Green Building Council Sri Lanka since 2010.”
