Bio
Rui is a professional engineer with over 15 years of working on Arup projects in Southern Africa and abroad. These have included high rise towers, commercial buildings, hospitals and sports arenas. His work has been carried out as a structural engineer and a façade consultant, supporting the professional teams as well as a designer supporting façade contractor’s detailed design of bespoke solutions for façade systems. His specific experience is geometrically complex structures and the development of technically robust designs with a strong focus on buildability.
