Malvinder Singh Rooprai

Malvinder Singh Rooprai, Architectural Market Development Manager & Technical Consultant for PVB division of Kuraray, is based out of New Delhi – INDIA. His key responsibilities are to grow the market for value added products under the umbrella of Trosifol® in Asia Pacific region. His academic background in structural engineering and working experience as structural façade engineer enables him to provide technical consultancy on laminated glass applications to façade consultants, architects laminators. He has a rich experience on finite element modeling of laminated glass for analyzing the effects of viscoelastic behavior of polymeric interlayers on the structural performance of laminated glass panels in architectural applications. He has provided consulting support on structural analysis of laminated glass in various iconic projects like Shanghai Tower, Lotte Tower, World One in AP region. He complex applications like blast & bullet resistant glazings. Malvinder has presented papers on laminated glass with Ionomer interlayers in events like GPD, World of Facades at Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo & Singapore. He has also presented on structural performance of laminated glass at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He did his Masters in Structural Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala – India and did his dissertation work on Wind Load Modeling in Tall Rectangular Buildings including Interference effects by Artificial Neural Networks.
