Giovanni De Mari

Giovanni De Mari is an Associate with engineering design practice Eckersley O’Callaghan. Giovanni is a dual-trained structural and facade engineer whose technical experience has enabled him to achieve the boldest and most challenging designs such as the first large deflection glass facade in Hong Kong and several structural glass projects worldwide. His skill set also includes complex geometric designs, detailed finite element analysis and engineering solutions of seismic and blast scenarios. With a wide breadth of international experience in transport, cultural, public, and commercial sectors, Giovanni is experienced in leading engineering teams and has released several publications including bridge theory and design at the World Conference on Structural Control and Monitoring and facade case studies at the Challenging Glass Conference.
