Gareth Mason

Gareth is a Divisional Director for Stride Treglown with a leading role in their London and Bristol offices. As head of retail and mixed-use sectors, Gareth is excited by a market-driven shift of focus towards the end user. It is clear there is a desire to create places where people love to live, work and play, and institutions and funds are responding to deliver developments that push conventions in experience, convenience and quality. Gareth believes there is a lot to learn from the retail sector’s pace, vitality and evolution. Understanding the drivers of these changes is key to designing for the demands and values of tomorrow’s inhabitants. An advocate for people-first design, Gareth is a key stakeholder in the Shaping Future Places initiative. His commercial, brand-conscious expertise has informed action plans for sustainable development around the themes of placemaking, stewardship, technology, delivery and wellbeing.
