Basel Kotob

Basel is the Practice Leader for Architecture at HOK in Dubai. He has 30 years of well-balanced experience in Architectural Design, Project Management, Operations and Business Development. Nearly half of his professional life has been with HOK. Recently he was the Project Director for a number of landmark projects like the Tadawul Offices Fit-out in Riyadh, the Festival City Mall expansion in Dubai, and the Delta Mixed Use Development in Jeddah. In addition, he has worked on many large-scale mixed use, residential, institutional, commercial, and hospitality developments in the Middle East and in North America. Basel holds a Master of Science in Architecture from MIT and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona. His focus in architecture has been the aspect of spatial layering and the dialogue between form and function in Architecture.
