About this edition

With ever increasing demand for the multi-use urban spaces, there has been a definitive spurt in the housing and urban development activities in Sri Lanka. Numerous tall buildings with a special focus on aesthetics and sustainability are being built by the various international developers. While the focus primarily is on environment friendly structures with efficient façades, technological advances like structural and seismic stability, fire and life safety are also key points that determine the façade of the new developments in Sri Lanka. Addressing these prime issues of façade performance and function, Zak World of Façades returns to Colombo after the enormous success of the debut edition which took place last year in September. This forum will aim at pith understanding of façade design and engineering and shall address the issues like wind tunnel testing, energy efficiency and sustainability through façades, safety and security consideration and complete façade process management.
